As well as learning about preparing and cooking some delightful Central American dishes, you also get the chance to gain some valuable experience in real-life skills such as providing top quality customer service, money management, and business organization! DING! That’s the bell that announces the arrival of another taco-hungry customer! Let’s get serving!

How to Play: Once the game initially loads, click on the blue ‘Continue’ button in the bottom right corner of the game screen to progress. Use your computer mouse or touchpad for all of the controls. Your goal in each ‘working day’ is to successfully serve all customers to the best of your ability. For each taco that is served, you score rating points out of 100 based on the quality of the dish, the accuracy of the order compared to the customer’s requests, and whether it was completed in a prompt manner. We recommend that you pay close attention to the initial tutorial, as it gives you a good idea of the various controls. Your business takes place across three work stations;

Order Station: This is where you take the order of your customers. You can choose to take orders one-by-one, or all at the same time (bear in mind, no customer likes to be kept waiting for a long period). Using your computer mouse or touchpad, click on the green ‘Take Order’ button above a customer’s head to listen to their instructions. This order is automatically copied down onto a ‘ticket’ which remains in the top right corner of the game screen until that order is complete. The quicker you take a customer’s order, the more points you receive for this station.

Grill Station: This is where you cook up the meat for each taco. Click and drag the pan of uncooked meat onto one of the burning stove areas. Once the meat is cooking, a white timer runs clockwise along the edge of the pan. Once this timer gets to the blue ‘half-way’ point, click on the spatula on the left of the game screen, and click on the meat to flip it over. The meat continues to cook until it gets to the end of the timer (6 o’clock if the pan was a clock face). Once the meat is done, click and drag the pan to the taco shell at the bottom of the game screen. The taco automatically zooms to the Build Station.

Build Station: Here, you add the various toppings to the taco, as indicated by your customer’s ticket. Click on the toppings of their choice (onions, sauces etc), and spread them evenly across the top of the taco. Make sure you put the toppings onto the taco in the correct order, i.e. read the ticket from bottom to top. When this is done, click on the ‘Finish’ button underneath the taco, and drag the ticket to the left hand side of the game screen to complete the order.

Your customer rates your performance at each station out of 100. The average rating is awarded to you in points. The higher your points total, the higher your ‘employee level’ rises. If you perform well, you also receive tips from each customer. These can be used to upgrade your diner, and to add new toppings, taco shells, and other items to your menu. This, in turn, will attract new customers to help you grow your business! Simple isn't it?
